I started my construction career in 2010, shortly after moving to Canada from England. I’m practiced in various trades from tiling, framing, drywall, building envelopes and carpentry before landing in residential renovations. It is what I am truly passionate about and it allows me to utilize my variety of skills. I enjoy showcasing my eye for detail along with my understanding of the building project as a whole, and working directly with homeowners and designers. There’s nothing like seeing a project go from ideas on paper to a photo worthy finished product. I look forward to meeting with you and discussing you project!
"The cliff notes; Hire McCabe Construction! You will not be disappointed.
My wife and I hired Toby McCabe to complete a basement suite. In a town where it is becoming harder and harder to find skilled tradesmen we didn’t have many expectations when Toby arrived to talk about our project. Within hours of meeting with us, and listening to what we wanted to accomplish he had emailed us a roughed in plan with a detailed quote.
Throughout the course of our project Toby was prompt and professional. My wife and I would enjoy going downstairs in the evenings to see the progress he had made. Over and above the quality of work we would see, what really set Toby apart for us was his communication skills. He quickly took charge of our project, involving us in the design, layout, and choices of appliances and paint. Weekly he would send us detailed progress reports and a breakdown of where we were in regards to our budget goals.
When the roadblocks that come with any project arose his correspondence with us was never “We have a problem”. Instead it was “We had a problem, but this is how I fixed it”.
Thank you McCabe Construction for all of your hard work."

Highly recommend McCabe Construction, this man can do it all. Toby has done framing, drywalling, tiling, flooring, installed windows and doors, and countless other jobs around my place and I always know that I'm getting quality, professional worksmanship.
